Prayer Ministries
“Prayer is not a mere formality. It is not something we do merely for the sake of procedure or decorum. Prayer acknowledges that God is present with us at all times and in all places. Prayer honors God as Creator, Lord and Savior. Coming before God in prayer is an act of worship. Prayer is a gracious gift from a God who desires personal relationship with us.” -from the Evangelical Covenant Church
Prayer @ Newsong
Newsong Prayer Ministries strives to provide time, space, and resources to help you in your prayer life.
In addition to the Prayer Room on Sunday mornings, Newsong offers a Thursday morning prayer gathering and a Friday night gathering for healing prayer.
Why pray with others?
“Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.”- Matthew 18:19-20.

The Prayer Room- Sundays from 9am-1pm
The prayer room (accessible from both the Overflow/Foyer and the Sanctuary) is open every Sunday morning. Pray silently, on your own, or receive prayer from a Newsong Prayer Team member (available after each service).
You can also use the prayer room during office hours; please call ahead of time to make sure that the room is available and open. 949.477.0700

Women’s Prayer Gathering- 8:00-9:00am Wednesdays
In the prayer room. For more information, contact nancy.luyen@newsong.net.

The Watch (Intercessors’ Gathering)- 7:00-8:30am Thursdays
Join us in the prayer room/overflow area as we lift our church, our community, our families, and our nation up in prayer. We’ve seen God-sized answers to prayer when groups of His children gather as members of one body and pray corporately, holding up one another’s arms in prayer. http://irvine.newsong.net/ministries/support/prayer-ministries/the-watch/

Sola Dei (“God Alone”)- Fridays, 7:00-9:00pm
Healing prayer gathering in the Multi-Purpose Room (room 21). Did you know that Jesus gave us the authority to pray boldly, and that while the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, Jesus came to give us life and let us have life to the full (John 10:10)? For current information, prayer training resources, and a schedule, visit http://irvine.newsong.net/ministries/verges/sola-dei/.
