Costa Rica
Dates:
June 20-July 4 OR July 6-18
Description: Serve at a children’s shelter ‘Excelencia Familiar’; activities with the kids (music, crafts, stories, games, etc.). Possibly do some construction work (ence building, tree planting, concrete laying, and weed trimming have all been tasks done to help the shelter) Costa Rica teams will stay at an international Bible school named ‘Portantorchas’, and will sometimes get the opportunity to serve alongside the students, join with them in worship, or even assist with English classes or other activities.
Team Size: 5 or 6
Required Skills: Willing to work with kids, some experience with tools is helpful. Lots of love to give!
India
Dates: August (dates TBD)
Description: Working with Beautiful Gate Ministry serving children with special needs. Also serving along side other para-church friends such as YWAM.
Size of Team: 5-8
Required Skills: Flexibility, experience working with children, experience working with children with mental and physical handicaps a plus. Lots of love to give!
Malawi
Dates: Team A: July 16 - Aug 2; Team B: July 28 - Aug 15
Description: Holistic community development activities, serving children, local churches and church leaders and construction projects.
Team Size: About 20 per team; Newsongers will serve along side people from other churches but re-group together in the evenings for meals and debrief.
Required Skills: Lots of love to give!
Mexico City
Dates: Mid-June - August, TBD
Description: Serve along side of the NEO (Newsong, Mexico City Team). Serve with iluminARTE: Our quarterly artist outreach event. Help in preparation of the event as well as prepare something to present. (Such as a skit, song, etc.) Serve at The Well: restoration/rehabilitation home for victims of human trafficking. There will be some home improvement stuff that will be needed to be done also. Work with Amextra in Tultitlan. It’s a marginalized area, a community in a landfill where we will be doing something based on its needs. Most likely some physical labor work or children’s ministry. Meet NEO community and learn a little about contextualizing ministry by learning historical background.

Southeast Asia
Dates: tentatively July 8-July 16 (plus travel days)
Description: Teach 3rd - 5th grade students English
Size of team: 4-5
Required Skills: Teaching experience, lead activities i.e. singing, dancing, crafts or other types that can be presented on stage.
Pac Rim
Dates: July 15 - Aug 4
Description: Partnering with Pac Rim Foundation to teach at a public school English Camp. Target age for the camp is high school and junior high students, possibly younger kids too.
Required Skills: Teaching experience a plus. Must be comfortable and be confident to be in front of classroom, managing children and young people in this setting.
South Africa
Dates: July 31-August 14 OR August 7-August 21
Description: Partnering with Monte Christo Ministries to serve the community encouraging youth leaders, serving in soup kitchens, teaching in elementary schools, and participating in community programs in the township and Colored community.
Size of team: preferred 8-10
Required Skills: Lots of love to give!
