Welcome to Design Stars

“God has answered my prayers in allowing me to use my professional skills in ministry to serve others. It was a joy to work side by side all the volunteers that helped in the last project. I was also humbled and blessed by the gratitude of the homeowners.”

Sandee
Interior Designer

“Helping out with this project gave me a deeper understanding of what it means to “Love your neighbor as yourself,” and I believe everyone who served put their whole heart into it, as if they were doing it for themselves.  This is a true community, a cWOW community, that I’m blessed to be a part of.”

Helen
Volunteer

Episode One
The design team and volunteers remodel a home for Wendy, a widow and foster parent. (more videos below)

Design Stars is in the style of a ‘home renovation’ show where we create a cWOW experience by hearing the story of a deserving family then have our cWOW designers bless them with an extreme home makeover. Throughout the whole experience we learn not only about the family but also the cWOW ‘stars’ that are involved. This is a chance to let our church not only change hearts but change homes.

Definition of cWOW: cWOW stands for ‘church without walls’. We believe our church is not just a building but its loving our community outside of our walls.

Our Vision: To connect with people making a difference in our community and blessing them by transforming one of their spaces in their home. We want to live out what it means to be a ‘church without walls’ by serving the ’stars’ that so unselfishly serve our community. Our dream is that by creating bold, inspirational living spaces, we can inspire others to live out a bold and inspirational faith.

Target Homeowner: We target individuals/families that have experiences loss or hardship in their life but are still committed to make a difference in their community.

Values: Good design, volunteerism, & life transformation stories.

Next Project March 26th-28th
We will be renovating the home of an amazing family in Fullerton. This family are real servants to the community and have moved intentionally into an area of high gang activity in order to love the community. They have intentionally moved into a troubled area and want to open their home to ‘at risk’ youth in the neighborhood. Join us as we transform their home into a place of warmth and inspiration. Hours will go from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm each day.
.
Contact Tony at designstars@newsong.net if you are interested in joining us for any of the three days.
