Creative Arts Ministry

CAM is the Creative Arts Ministry of Newsong. Our focus is to create, program and produce our weekend services and key events. We utilize just about everything and anything to create an environment where people can meet and experience God. Our hope is to create a community that enjoys being in touch with their artistic side, while passionately working together to develop our special events and weekend services. Within CAM, our desire is to also grow and develop artists in order to be excellent in every way, in character, chemistry, and competence.

Technical Production Ministry

Sound Team
If you like to connect wires, EQ effects, or to create a surround sound-like experience, the Sound and Tech-Arts team is for you!

This team allows the messages to be seen, heard, felt and experienced. This team focuses on sound and staging needs for our weekend services and special events. If you like the behind-the-scenes stuff, come serve with us and do art in a technical and fun way. If you are interested in learning more and can lend a hand, we are willing to train.

Communication Art
Do you dig those cool PowerPoint slides on Sunday? Can you do static art? Do you enjoy working on the computer? Are you a graphic designer? This team is for you!

This team puts together all the slides to accompany the Sunday worship music and message. This team is a key component of our Sunday Services as we continue to create life-changing moments in this age of visual communication.

Video Team
Do you jive with Steven Spielberg or like watching commercials? Then the video team could be for you!

The Video Team puts together clips, short pieces and works with other teams to produce some incredible videos for our special events and weekend services. This team also helps video tape each service as well as operates the cameras during the service. If you have the ability to film, edit, or direct, check out this ministry. Your own equipment is not necessary.

Lighting Team
Are you looking to help out or get involved in the Sunday Service production? We have state-of-the-art, lighting equipment and you can come learn some neat tricks! We are looking for a few good people to develop a Lighting-Art team. Come and be amazed what good lighting adds to production! If you like to play with cool, techie toys, this might be for you! Training is available.

Visual Arts Team (Stage Design)
Do you have a designer’s touch? Are you into décor? Or perhaps you like using power tools or just miss arts & crafts time… If so, join the Visual Arts team. We work together to construct art that often is bigger than ourselves!

This team focuses on creating the feel and environment of our weekend services and special events via visual arts. This includes paintings, photography, banners, graphics or any other symbolic pieces or works of art. It’s all about set design. This is especially good for those crafty types, as well as those who have a knack for designing and decorating. We also have a need for people that are good with power tools and ladders!

Praise & Worship Ministry

Worship Team
The music teams primarily focus on weekend services, but have multiple venues where people can serve with their talents. We welcome all sorts of instruments and vocalists! If you have a gift to sing or play an instrument, we’d love to have you audition.

Performing Arts Ministry

Drama Team
If you love to act, write or participate in dramatic performance, this team is for you!

The Drama team creates and performs sketches to help people see and hear God. We work on various scripts to be shared during weekend services and on special occasions. Some training sessions can be arranged. If you write, we’d love to check out some originally written works. Come check us out!

Dance Team
We believe that worship is an expression of not only the mind and heart, but also the body. Through diverse styles of dance (such as hip hop, jazz, ballet, modern dance, etc.), we seek to express and convey the powerful emotions of broken and hopeful people. If you are a choreographer or dancer with experience and a heart of worship, please contact us!
