All year round there are many chances to serve our community, but summer brings some exciting, new opportunities to get involved with organizations who are already caring for people in Santa Ana and Fullerton. Explore, sign up, and have fun!
SANTA ANA
With 511 Without Walls - Santa Ana
KidWorks | a community development program making a positive impact in families through afterschool programs, mentoring, and teaching life skills for children and adults, one person at a time (kidworksonline.org)
KidWorks Summer Program
Sports Day and Culture Day, Family Fun Nights, Help with Meals for YouthWorks (transitioning seniors into college)
July 12-August 13 (specific days TBD)
Groups of volunteers (families, friends, or small groups) needed to help KidWorks staff with special activities. Email: KidWorks
Townsend-Raitt Street Fair
August 28th
Provide a game booth, prize area, or prizes for the annual fair put on by KidWorks and other organizations in Central Santa Ana to promote community building and pride within the neighborhood. Email: Kidworks
THINK Together | an afterschool program that partners with schools, parents, and the community to provide a fun and safe place for students to learn and grow (thinktogether.org)
SAUSD/THINK Together Summer Program
June 24th - July 30th (M-F, 8:00-11:30am)
15,000 students at 40 schools in Santa Ana are expected. Volunteers are needed daily and on special field trips to help create a great experience for the K-8th grade children attending the program. Sign up individually or with your family, friends, or small groups: THINK Together

FULLERTON
With Newsong North Orange County: Fullerton ACT SOLFUL (Summer of Love Fullerton)
This summer YOU have the opportunity to BE the church to one of three neighborhoods in Fullerton where California budget cuts have forced the closure of summer school and given thousands of children nowhere to go. For 7 weeks we have the chance to seek the welfare of the city and it’s people by engaging the children of Fullerton through exciting and fun programs centered in Art, Sports and Education!
